Norbar welcomes any request from you to apply for a work experience placement. We are able to offer up to a one week work experience placement. The aim of our work experience placements is to offer you a broad understanding of what Engineering is about and will give you the opportunity to spend a small amount of time in most areas of the business to appreciate the broad engineering processes involved in our company.You will get to experience what working life is all about.

You will be interviewed by a member of the Human Resources department.This interview should last no longer than 30 minutes.
After a successful interview we will endeavour to get back to you as quickly as possible to confirm whether we are able to accommodate your request.Please note that a placement will only be confirmed providing we have the necessary resource available for the entire duration of the placement.
A standard one weeks’ work experience structure runs from Monday to Friday, working 9.00am to 4.30pm Monday to Thursday with a 30 minute break for lunch and 9.00am to 12 noon on Friday.Time will be spent in Calibration, Electronics Production, Product Realisation, Special Products, Customer Relations/Sales, Quality Control, Multipliers/CNC, Multipliers Gearbox and Assembly. We will consider requests to alter our standard schedule should you wish to concentrate on a particular area of Engineering.
At the end of the placement, you will receive detailed reports from each of the departments which you have spent time in including a list of learning outcomes and departmental comments.
