Technical Services

Norbar Torque Tools Australia can offer customers Complete Torque Control Management Service.

This service provides you with a calibration management plan to meet your particular quality standards. Simply tell us what torque equipment you own or are purchasing, specify the calibration period and Norbar will ensure the tools are kept within those specifications. You will be provided with certificates and a written report on the condition of the equipment at the time of each service.

Technical Support

To ensure our customers receive the most comprehensive information regarding torque control equipment our Technical Support Manager works closely with our highly trained sales personnel to assist with specific product or system selection. The Technical Support Manager is also available for individual training or seminars on torque control.

Engineering and Design

With 70 years’ experience in product design and engineering Norbar provides solutions to most torque control applications. Our in-house engineering and design service allows customers to purchase equipment with variations to standard products manufactured to their specification. NTTi recently expanded into a purpose built 11,000 square foot facility, just outside Cleveland Ohio. A second, 5,000 square foot building was purchased in late 2014, to house a growing staff and our expanding capabilities. Between the two buildings NTTi offers comprehensive support for all your Norbar products. In one building NTTi operates a fully stocked warehouse, shipping and receiving, and three service and calibration departments. The new building houses Sales, Engineering, and our Machining Center. NTTi has expanded our staff and our capabilities to serve a growing market well into the future. In order to reach the US market, we have a select group of distribution partners, who are factory-trained in application engineering, service, and support of the full Norbar product line. Our distributor partners are market experts in their field, and work closely with NTTi to ensure that ongoing support and service of Norbar products doesn’t stop after the sale is made.

NTTi understands that product availability and short lead times are important to your business and your safety. We have over $1,500,000 of new product inventory ready to deliver or customize, to meet your exact needs. We can be adaptable and flexible when it comes to carrying specific inventory.

With over $500,000 of Norbar spare parts inventory, NTTi is well positioned to effect fast service and fast turn-around for all your Norbar products. We can also service and support all private-labeled Norbar product, as well as many competitive products. All Norbar test and calibration fixtures are designed to keep your Norbar equipment in service, reliable, and accurate for many years after you invest in Norbar quality and dependability. All NTTi calibration equipment is NIST-traceable, and carry up-to-date certificates of calibration.

Norbar Torque Tools, Inc. was the first torque manufacturer to be accredited by NVLAP (Lab Code, 200596-0), the accreditation department of NIST. This gives you -

• International measurement traceability that mirrors the UKAS certification produced by the Norbar factory in the UK.
• Accredited compliance with the BS EN ISO/IEC 17025:2000 calibration quality assurance standard.
• Explanation of the calculation of measurement uncertainties that some other manufacturers hide.

Our NVLAP (Lab Code, 200596-0) accredited torque range for transducers is from 10 oz-in to 5,000 lb-ft., and up to 1,100 lb-ft for torque wrenches.
Calibration and recalibration of transducers to 5,000 lb-ft can be quickly carried out internally, on Norbar calibration equipment, with international traceability. Transducers over 5,000 lb-ft are sent to an outside partner, for NVLAP-accredited calibration.

Most recently, Norbar Torque Tools, Inc. has earned NVLAP (Lab Code, 200596-0) accreditation for our torque wrench service and recalibration lab. This means every torque wrench we service and calibrate carries a fully accredited certificate of calibration.

Torque Multipliers, Torque Displays, and Torque Wrenches are calibrated using NIST-traceable transducers and purpose built calibration fixtures.

In 2013 Norbar Torque Tools, Inc. added a Haas CNC machine to our Machining Center. Previously we added a Birmingham Bridgeport and a Kent RML 16 x 40 Lathe, both with Acu-Rite controllers. We also have a new Lincoln 256 Power-MIG welder in the machining center. NTTi understands that we can only provide state-of-the-art solutions by using state-of-the-art equipment.

These machines give us the capabilities to produce custom-engineered accessories and purpose-built torque solutions for the full line of Norbar products – from API Class adapters, to one-off torque reactions. When combined with our in-house Design-Engineering, the Machining Center gives us one additional level of Quality Control, allowing us to better maintain the Norbar quality our customers have come to expect. We are also better able to reduce lead times for special ordered components. NTTi understands that you rely on us to deliver fast, effective, and safe solutions for all your torque needs.
